FALL SEASON INFORMATION

2026 FALL REGISTRATION NOW OPEN
Register by June 30th to ensure we have space for your player (some divisions may move to wait list prior to this date) As long as there is space in a division, you will be able to register, otherwise, you will see the option to sign up for the wait list. Beginning with the 2026 Fall Season, we are moving to the PlayMetrics registration system. Please visit our REGISTRATION page for details.

Registration fees do not include the annual non-refundable $25 AYSO Player Membership Fee. This fee is paid once per Membership year and covers all programs 8/1-7/31. THERE ARE NO LATE REGISTRATION FEES IN REGION 143!*

PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS

AYSO CORE 6U-19U is our main recreational soccer program where Everyone Plays! It is the foundation where kids build skills, confidence, and a lifelong love of the game. Open to all players with balanced teams, trained volunteer coaches, and a focus on safe, fair, and fun play, and age-appropriate development. AYSO KICKSTART is an entry-level Jamboree-style program designed for players ages 3.5 up to 5. It serves as an introduction to the sport, focusing on creating a "pressure-free" environment where young players can develop basic coordination and a love for the game through play-centered activities. AYSO EPIC (Everyone Plays In our Community) is AYSO’s inclusive soccer program for athletes with disabilities (ages 4+). With extra support from volunteer buddies, every player gets a full team experience, uniforms, games, and the joy of being part of the AYSO family in a safe, fun, and supportive environment.

WAIT LISTS - Registration does not "close", but will move to WAIT LIST as a division reaches capacity based on how many volunteer coaches are signing up. There is no fee to sign up on the wait list, but you must register and check out thru PlayMetrics to be on the wait list.
If you end up on the wait list and want to be a head coach, please email [email protected] after you sign up.

Players will be activated from the wait list based on the needs of the division (e.g. maintaining balanced teams, filling volunteer roles, etc.), regardless of when they joined the wait list. Once activated, you will receive an email from Sports Connect and must complete registration (payment and age verification, if not already verified) within 48 hours.

AYSO IS ALL VOLUNTEER - SIGN UP EARLY!
• It takes all of us to make the season safe, fair, and fun for our players. In order to achieve that, every team is required to have a minimum number of volunteers, depending on the division.
• The main team roles required are Head Coach, Assistant Coach, Team Manager, Referee.
• These volunteers are required to register, complete a background check, fingerprinting, online trainings, SafeSport, and role-specific training for coaches and referees.
• If you already know you're ready to step up and support your player's team, you can sign up when you register your player. Please note that although there is an option to "sign up someone else" (like another parent), please DO NOT do that if that person doesn't already have an existing account. It's best if each volunteer logs into his/her own account to register as a volunteer. Visit the Volunteer page for more information and how to sign up.

PLAYER REQUEST POLICY
One of AYSO's six core philosophies is "Balanced Teams" - balancing teams happens in all divisions of our Core program. We do allow for some player requests based on team volunteer roles in certain divisions. Review the Region's Player Request Policy for details.

FALL POST-SEASON PLAY - CORE, UPPERS (16U & 19U), AND EXTRA (9U-14U)
• The AYSO CORE Fall post-season includes the Region and/or Area playoff tournaments
• There are also post-season opportunities in Section for UPPERS and EXTRA teams
• Teams must earn volunteer/referee points during the regular season to be eligible to participate in post-season play
• Dates will be added to the calendar as they become available

SCHOLARSHIPS

ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY, POLICE, & FIREFIGHTER DISCOUNT
We offer a $20 discount for players whose parent or guardian is active duty military, police, or firefighter. To receive the discount please email proof of active service to [email protected] along with the name(s) and number of players you will be registering (be sure you have your account created on our website first). You will be sent a coupon code to use during checkout. Alternatively, you may register and pay in full and receive the discount via reimbursement upon receipt of proof of service. This discount may not be combined with any other discounts (including the early bird).

FALL SEASON SCHEDULE

6U & ABOVE CORE TEAMS*

Practices typically start in August (Head Coaches determine their teams' practice schedules)
Games may begin in late August or early September for our Core program; the regular season ends about mid-November
Eligible 10U and above teams may have post-season playoffs in Nov/Dec (and beyond)
Some divisions may have an occasional game on a Sunday - all games on the schedule are required, a team cannot opt out of playing.

Game schedules are typically available a week before the first game - all schedules are listed in MatchTrak (click 'standings', then your division); schedules can change.

*EXTRA & UPPERS (16U & 19U)
The season dates generally follow that of the Core division, but can vary. Dates will be published as soon as they are determined by those gaming circuits (AYSO Section 11). Visit the AYSO Section 11 website for details on the 16/19 program.

*EPIC
Practices usually begin in August with games coinciding with the Core game schedule above. The EPIC Coordinator and Coaches will reach out with details.

One day per week for six weeks
Wednesdays 5:30pm - 6:30pm

PLAYER EVALUATIONS

Player evaluations are NOT tryouts. They are a quick, no-pressure, skills assessment used to assign players a general skill rating that will be used when forming and balancing our Core teams.

Who needs to attend?
ALL 10U-14U players who are brand new to soccer.
ALL 10U-14U players who are new to AYSO Region 143.
ALL 10U-14U players who did NOT play in Region 143 in the Spring 2026 or Fall 2025 seasons.
There may also be some returning players who need updated ratings.

Evaluation Dates:
Wed, June 10, 2026 @ 5:30 - 6:30 pm
Mon, July 13, 2026 @ 5:30 - 6:30 pm

Players should arrive wearing appropriate soccer footwear and clothing, shin guards covered by soccer socks, and have a ball.

You may arrive any time during the evaluation window (if everyone comes at the same time, the wait time is longer)

PLAYER VERIFICATION

AYSO requires proof of age for every registered player. During registration, parents must upload a government-issued birth certificate or passport. Our regional administrators carefully review and verify these documents to confirm the player’s information matches what was entered into the registration system. This important step ensures every child is placed in the correct division, helps maintain fair and balanced teams, and allows us to comply with AYSO national guidelines. Once a player is verified, families typically do not need to re-upload documents for future seasons.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the transition to the PlayMetrics system, ALL PLAYERS (including returning players) will need to complete verification for the 2026 Fall season. We understand this may feel inconvenient for families who have already submitted documents in the past, but this one-time process is necessary to accurately transfer and validate everyone’s information in the new platform.

Keep in mind that players must be verified to be added to teams. All documents must be uploaded by June 30th (or within five days, if you registered after that date). If you've already registered, you can log back into your PlayMetrics account to upload.

AGE DETERMINATION UPDATE: Beginning with the 2026/2027 season AYSO and other youth soccer organizations are changing to a school year age division system. Following extensive review and discussion, AYSO, US Youth Soccer, and US Club Soccer have collectively decided to move to an age group player formation cycle that runs from August 1 to July 31, starting with Membership Year 26, the 2026-27 season/registration year. This change was made based on additional critical feedback, data, and expert input to better align players with their school-grade peers. AYSO feels that this age group player formation will be the most inclusive and help increase participation.
