REGIONAL COMMISSIONER NOMINATIONS NOW BEING ACCEPTED
March 7, 2026: In accordance with with AYSO National Rules and Regulations, the Regional Board of Directors of AYSO Region 143 announces the opening of the application period for the position of Regional Commissioner for a three-year term. The Region 143 Nomination Committee is accepting applications through April 6, 2026.
QUALIFICATIONS
To nominate yourself, or be nominated, you should:
- Be a currently-registered AYSO volunteer in good standing with AYSO and Region 143
- Preferably be a current or past Regional Board Member
- Be a strong communicator and fully understand and support AYSO’s Mission and Vision.
HOW TO APPLY

- Ensure all registered volunteer requirements are complete and current
- Email your letter of intent and resume of qualifications to the Nomination Committee at [email protected]
Please include your personal background, professional experience, AYSO and other youth organization experience, and why you want to be Regional Commissioner.
APPLICATIONS ARE DUE BY 11:59 PM ON APRIL 6, 2026
NOMINATION AND SELECTION PROCESS
- Nominations/applications accepted through April 6, 2026
- The Nomination Committee (NC) reviews applications
- NC will present a list of eligible candidates to the Regional Board
- A meeting will be held at which candidates will be provided an opportunity to give a statement and answer questions before a vote is taken.
- The voting members* of the Regional Board will, by majority vote, nominate an RC. That nomination will then be forwarded to the Area Director and Section Director. Upon their acceptance, the RC nomination is forwarded to the AYSO National Board of Directors for final election.
*Voting members: Eligible Board Members (per Region 143 Policies & Procedures) in place at the time nominations opened.
The current RC term ends on October 31, 2026; the successful candidate will serve as RC‑Elect until the current term expires or an agreed‑upon transition date.
